DescriptionIndenture of an exchange of land between Magdalen College, Oxford and Rev Richard Tawney, vicar of Willoughby in accordance with 'An Act for enabling spiritual persons to exchange the Parsonage or Glebe Houses or Glebe Land belonging to their Benefices for others of greater value or more conveniently situate for their residence and occupation and for annexing such houses and lands so taken in exchange to such Benefices as Parsonages or Glebe Houses or Glebe Lands and for purchasing and annexing lands to be come glebe in certain cases and for other purposes'. The land is bounded on the north by two fields commonly known as Shar Leyes and New Inn Grounds, on the south and east by land of William Mills and I Drayson Esq., and on the west by the street leading through Willoughby amounting in total to about five acres.
