The properties conveyed to John Baker by Henry Sheldon [see CR4136/1] comprised part of the lands charged with the payment of an annuity of £500 to Alicia May Sheldon, wife of Henry James Sheldon, should she outlive her husband, so Henry Sheldon agreed to indemnify John Baker from any payments regarding the annuity or succession duty.
