Of manor of Pool Hall & messuage called Pool Hall in Sutton Coldfield late in possession of Samuel Somerland & then of John Orton with various closes, purchased by Thomas Baylis and devised to Dorothy Smith; messuage in Wishaw & closes there; closes in Curdworth, bought by Dorothy Smith. (b) Assignment. Richard Riland of Sutton Coldfield, clerk (1); Dorothy Martin (formerly Smith) of Curdworth, widow of Thomas Martin of Curdworth, clerk, decd (2); William Martin of Glenfield, Lecis (brother of Thomas) (3); John Mieres of Wishaw, clerk & Thomas Cobb of Lichfield, mercer. Recites lease & release 28-29 Mar 1746, which was marriage settlement of Dorothy Smith & Thomas Martin. Dorothy has mortgaged property to William Martin to cover debts of her husband. Now assigns settlement term to Miers & Cobb to secure the mortgage.
