Description | Made in settlement of a dispute between Henry Mathewe of Solihull gentleman and Henry Mathewe of Barkeswell gentleman by which it was decided that Henry Mathewe of Berkswell is to pay George Mathewe of St. Giles in the Fields, gentleman £13-6s.8d annually from the manor of Morecoate and certain other lands in the manor of Berkswell, late the manor and lands of Henry Mathewe of Solihull; Henry of Berkswell was to indemnify the lands of Henry of Solihull from payment of this rent charge; Henry of Berkswell was to release to Henry of Solihull two debts pretended to be due to him by promise of Henry of Solihull, one of £25 to buy a horse, the other of £50 towards the repair or building of certain mills in Berkswell, Henry of Solihull was to pay Henry of Berkswell £20. |
