Description | Made in settlement of a dispute between Henry Mathewe the younger of Berkswell gentleman and Joseph Holt of Solihull, gentleman, by which Mathewe was to pay Holt £840 of which £800 was for the messuage and lands conveyed by Holt and his wife to Mathew, and £40, which together with a horse is in difference between the two men, is to be paid to Holt in respect of his damages; also Mathewe is no longer to molest Holt as regards the sale of the horse; Holt and his wife, Ann, are to convey to Mathewe New House Farm in Berkswell conveyed to them by Mathewe's father Henry M. Senior (Ann's father). The lease of the said house from Holt to Edward Chatterley is to be observed by Mathewe. The money is to be paid by instalments as laid down and as a security the above premises are to be leased for 99 years by Mathewe to Holt, with a proviso for repayment; the property is to be conveyed to the Holts and their right heirs. |
