DescriptionIn consideration that JL hath erected 2 pews by the consent of FS, "hath...been at a very Considerable Expence in and about repairing the Chancell [and other premises]" and in consideration of a grant and demise from JL to FS for 1,000 years of the pew or seat as the same is now inclosed in Ansley Church belonging to JL wherein JL and his family "lately satt and wherein Matthias Baker, Tenant of the said FS, and his family now sitts..." With covenants, by the lessor, re the maintenance and repair of the chancel and, by the lessee, re the breaking up and opening of the bricked grave/vault in the chancel wherein [ ] Stratford, esq., deceased (FS's father) lies interred, "for the intering of...relations...and to erect any monument[s] in the said Chancell.."
