| Description | This was originally used as a Sunday School register (?started in 1907) for "St. James' Roke Coulsdon (Surrey)" where the Rev. T.A. Lewis (rector of Atherstone-on-Stour 1907-1937) was vicar, 1904-1907, recording the names of 4 teachers and their respective tutees (the names and addresses recorded indicate that the people concerned are definitely not from Atherstone-on-Stour), and then taken over (?in 1909) as a Sunday School Roll Book for Atherstone-on-Stour, 1909-1912 and 1917, and as a register of communicants and congregation attendance, 1917-1918 (including a note, on the last page of the Roll Book Section, of the number of parishioners in Church, 6 Nov 1911 - 15 Jan 1912).
Enclosed: bill from J. Newland of Stratford-on-Avon, general and furnishing ironmonger etc., for cost of paraffin purchased by the churchwardens, Dec 1916, endorsed with a list of communicants/congregation (named) in attendance at the Good Friday and Easter Day services 1917. |
