Description | In 1957 it was agreed the PCC was unable to provide the money required to bring the school 'up to modern standards' and in October, 'with regret', it was decided the school would 'become "controlled through default"'. The school was taken under local authority control 9 December 1957. 1959 saw the consecration of the extension to the churchyard. It was agreed at the AGM, April 1963, that the 'ancient copy of the church register' ... 'go to Warwick for preservation.' Mention is made, Dec 1963, of a plan with numbered sites being drawn up for the churchyard extension. March 1965 'various old documents ...housed in Warwick'. |
