DescriptionIncludes, within the volume, an account of the sale of timber from the church land and old timber from the church (1796) and a note that "with the consent of the Parishoners there is four pounds a year given to the Schoolmaster out of the Rent of the Church Land but in the year 1815 the half years salary 2-0-0 was laid out in a set of Bell-ropes and the next half years was given to [the] Schoolmaster as usual"; and, on the pastedowns and first two leaves at front and rear, a list of "The Names of the pepoll to pay for the Church yard walls", 1771-1795; notes of "sacrement money" collected (?offertory/Church collections) and ?related disbursements to the poor, 1773-1794; a note of a reduction in the rent of the Church land by 5% from £12, 1822; a list of the poor for 1784 (annotated, 1787); memoranda of annual receipts of £2 left by the late Mrs. Ann Biker to be distributed to widows and maidens, with lists of recipients, 1773; list of poors money given to children in the year 1786; memoranda of the trusteeship of the £2 left by Thomas Johnson (the interest to be distributed in two-dozen of white bread on St. Thomas's - day), 1789 and 1807; a memorandum, dated 7 May 1760, that the minister and churchwardens "put up Eight Timber Trees upon the Church Land to Auction towards repairing the Steeple. Which Timber was bought by Mr. Congreve [who had full liberty to fell next year]" with later related memoranda.
