Description	Howden states that Clark’s previous letter was read to the Trustees at their meeting of 22 November 1939. The general feeling of the Trustees was that they have always sought to discourage the introduction of anything in the way of ornaments in the churches for which they have responsibility. But they have no desire to interfere with Clark’s liberty.
