Description | Pps. 670-671 of the Charity Commissioners' Reports for 1826-75, states that the land at Barwell was let for an annual rent, part of which was used to buy Bibles and prayer books; the rest was used as a bread charity. The purchase sum came principally from the charities of William Beck, John Weston, Mary Tubuge, Thomas Bardet, William Wragge, and Walter Moseley. |
