Description | Covenant between Sir Henry Goodere of Polesworth and John Goodere his son and heir apparent; Michael Drayton of London and John Tallance of Clifford (Glos.); and William Barnes and John Wattkyns, both of Clifford, that the Gooderes will levy a fine of the manor of Polesworth with the rectory and tithes and all other property of the Gooderes in Polesworth, Warton, Pooley, Dordon, Freasley, Hall End and Wilnecote, with the intention that Drayton and Tallance shall suffer a recovery by Barnes and Wattkyns, who are to hold to the use of Sir Henry Goodere for life, then of John Goodere for life and of his sons in order of seniority, or failing sons, of his daughters, or failing daughters, of Katherine wife of Francis Noone of Loughborough and Lucy, Elizabeth, Mary and Anne, daughters of Sir Henry Goodere. |
