a site was given by the Couchman Trustees 1937; twenty-four members of the Parish Church, living in the area, set together and founded the St. Helen's Church Centre Fellowship, 7 July 1948; a Sunday School was started in the home of one of the members, January 1959, and moved to the new Greswold Infants School, September 1959; St. Helen's Junior Fellowship was created, September 1961; the Halford Cycle Co. Ltd. gave to the Fellowship a wooden building in Edgbaston, which was dismantled, moved to the site and erected, together with an annexe, much of the work being done in the members, and dedicated for worship and other activities, 16 June 1962. |
