Whereas the parishioners of St. Nicholas' ought to enjoy, on the death of Agnes Rounton, a tenement and garden [as in the grant of 4 August 17 Hen. VIII]; the condition of his bond is that if Thomas Runton possesses the property on the death of Agnes, and whereas Thomas is bound to pay the parishioners 53s 4d by a deed of even date for the property, and if anyone with a better title shall dispossess the said Thomas within 5 years he shall be repaid the said sum. |
