DescriptionDeed of gift by Hugh Pole of Warr' to John de Wodelowe, lord of Wodelowe, of a messuage with appurtenances in Wodecote and half a virgate [c15 acres] of arable land in the fields of Wodecote, held by the gift of Adam Robyns, and two tofts lying in Wodlowe (between Abbey Lane and the manor of Wodelowe) in the fields of Woodlowe and arable land, held by the gift of John Perkyns, lately of Matilda Isaak of Wodecote, to be held of the capital lord of the fee for ever, with clauses of warranty and sealing.
Witnesses: Nicholas Warrewyk, William Baker, Richard Wodelowe, Simon Katerine, and John Botylere and others.
Dated at Wodecote, Sunday on the feast of the Invention of the Holy Cross 10 Ric II [after "decimo" the word "septimo" is written in very faint ink (?possibly added later), which would make it the 17th regnal year and the date 3 May 1394].
Endorsed with brief details of content, regnal year and number "X" in ink.
