DescriptionDeed of gift by Henry Walsche and Thomas Griswold, both of Kenelworth [Kenilworth] to Thomas Herthill of Overwodecote, esquire, and Alice his wife, of all their lands, tenements, meadows, grazing lands, pastures, rents, reversions and services with appurtenances in Wodecote within the demesne of the Earl of Warwick, once the gift of John Boteler of Kenelworth, to be held of the capital lord of the fee for ever, with clause of sealing.
Witnesses: Geoffrey Boxell of Kenelworth, Henry Charrio' of the same, Thomas Lynde of the same, Thomas Musheron of Wotton [Wootton], John Musheron of the same, John Suklyng of the same, John Wodecarter of Wodecote and many others.
Dated at Wodecote, on the feast of St Nicholas 15 Hen VI.
Endorsed with a note of the land being once Botelerr's at Wodecote, regnal year and number "XXII" in ink.
Seals: two, both red, one badly damaged, bearing initial M surmounted by crown, the other only surviving as a small fragment, attached by tags.
