DescriptionIndentures of release between Sir Jonathan Wathen Waller formerly of Twickenham but then of New Cavendish Street, Cavendish Square, Middlesex, baronet, Knight Grand Cross of the Guelphic Order, and Reverend Stanier James Porten of Charlewood, Surrey, clerk (the surviving trustees under the marriage settlement of Ernest Adolphus Waller and his wife Louisa), of the 1st part, Louisa Waller of Tachbrooke, widow of Reverend Ernest Adolphus Waller late of Tachbrook, clerk, of the 2nd part, Reverend George Ernest Howman formerly of Sonning, Berkshire, then of Barnesley, Gloucestershire, clerk, and Reverend Frederick Townsend of Wellesbourne, clerk, of the 3rd part, Thomas George Skipwith, formerly a lieutenant in His Majesty's 2nd Regiment of Dragoon Guards then of Newbold Hall, esquire, and Glynne Earle Welby of Denton Hall, Lincolnshire, esquire (trustees under the marriage settlement of Henry Christopher Wise and his wife Harriett), of the 4th part, of the manors and hereditaments comprised in a term of 1000 years on payment of £8000, with a declaration of trust of the sum of £8000 becoming part of the monies held upon the trusts of Thomas Wathen and Catherine's marriage settlement. Recitals include the indentures of 18-19 June 1828, the setting-up of the term of 1000 years to raise £24000 for three potential marriage portions for the daughters of Henry Wise, one of whom was Louisa, and the marriage settlement of Ernest Adolphus Waller and Louisa Wise dated 14 Jan 1835.
