DescriptionMarriage settlement between Sir Edward Peyto of Chesterton, knight, of the 1st part, Sir Adam Newton of Charlton, Kent, baronet, of the 2nd part, and Sir Thomas Puckeringe of the Priory near Warwick, knight and baronet, Sir John Ferrers of Tamworth Castle, Warwickshire, knight, and Edward Ferrers of Baddesley, esquire, of the 3rd part, relating to the marriage to be solemnized between Sir Edward Peyto and Elizabeth Newton, one of the daughters of Sir Adam Newton, concerning a capital messuage, several closes of land called Ewe Field, Town Close, Calves Close, Dovehouse Close, Rams Close, the Plash Meadow, close or coppice called the Rough Wignell, close called Milne Wygnell alias Great Wignell (46 acres), a pond called the Pool, a water corn mill, several other closes called Milneholme, Nether Conygree, the Coppice, Over Conygree, Over Meadow, Over Piece alias Fursen Close, the More, two coppices called the Two Coppices of Thornes, closes called the Lords Meadow, the Kitchin Coppice, Kingston Coppice, Barnehill alias Barnardes Hill (131 acres 3 roods), Corn Close alias Barnehill Close or the Tillage (66 acres), Millhill Close, Horse Pasture, a wood called Chesterton Grove, parts of fields called the Three Yates, Greenslade and Bramstonhill alias Bremstonhill alias Branstonhill, and the Great Meadow, with tithes, woods, etc, all at Chesterton, to the use of Sir Edward Peyto, in consideration of £3000.

Endorsed with memorandum of the Court of Wards and Liveries of the indenture having been seen by Sir David Cuningham on behalf of Dame Elizabeth Peyto and Edward Peyto, ward of court, 14 July 1645.
