DescriptionIndenture of mortgage by demise by Sir Thomas Puckeringe of Warwick, knight and baronet, to Francis Gibbs of Kington [Kineton], one of the daughters of Robert Gibbs late of Lynnington, Warwickshire, esquire, deceased, of a messuage in the tenure of Edward Dalby, with its several closes of lands and meadows called Baylies Lake, the Great Ground, Meare Land, Forse Ground (near the Forse Way), a close near the Great Ground, Priest Meadow, Ramshead Meadow, Fowlewell Meadow and Forse Meadow, with a cottage in the occupation of Francis Hurste, with a close in the tenure of Edward Dalby and two closes either side of the brook, all in Butlers Marston alias Butler Merston alias Merston Butler, to be held from 1 May 1619 for a term of 100 years at the annual rent of a peppercorn, with provision for the indenture to be voided upon payment of £800 by 10 November 1619.
