DescriptionIndenture of assignment of mortgage for the remainder of a term of 500 years in trust to attend the inheritance by Hortensia Searle of Kensington, Middlesex, widow, of the 1st part, to Henry Christopher Wise late of Hampton Court, Middlesex and then of the Priory in the borough of Warwick, esquire, only son and heir of Henry Wise, esqure, deceased (2nd son of Henry Wise, esquire, deceased, and brother of Matthew Wise, esquire, deceased), of the 2nd part, and Reverend John Wise of Leamington Priors, clerk, of the 3rd part, of those messuages and lands at Westminster, Middlesex which were mortgaged by indenture of 11 Nov 1679 but were not conveyed by lease and release dated 16-17 March 1801 from Henry Christoper Wise to John White of Marylebone, Middlesex and assignment of 17 March 1801 between Henry Christopher Wise, Hortensia Searle and John White (which premises comprised the wharf in the parish of St Martin in the Fields formerly part of a slip or parcel of land containing 4 acres in the tenrue of Edward Emes, and then commonly called Thames Bank Wharf at Millbank), in consideration of 10 shillings paid by Hortensia Searle to John Wise.
