DescriptionArticles of agreement between Reverend Henry Wise of the Priory, Warwick, clerk, and Thomas Cubitt of Grays Inn Road, Middlesex, builder, for the building of two new streets, with messuages, tenements, coaching houses, stables and buildings, on lands containing 24 acres 1 rood 25 perches in the parishes of St George Hanover Square and St John the Evangelist, Westminster, Middlesex, in consideration of the progessive rents, rising at two yearly intervals of £250, £500, £650, £800 and £1000, until the permanent yearly rent of £1200, to be held for a term of 99 years from 25 Dec 1825, including provisions for covenants being put in leases on insurance, restaints on use, re-building, maintenance, etc, for the building of appropriate sewers before 25 Dec 1829, for the payment of costs towards the passing of an act of Parliament enabling Wise to grant leases, and for the building of houses in conformity to set designs of ground plans and frontages and subject to inspection by an architect and surveyor appointed by Wise, the designs of which are included on the 7th membrane, together with a ground plan of the sites (shown adjoining Vauxhall Bridge Road, Willow Walk and Mr White's road).
