Description | Indenture of lease by John de Wyttelbiry, Robert Kukes, rector of the church of Edmerthorp [Edmondthorpe, Leics], William Hemmyng, rector of the church of Castelcombe [Castle Combe, Wilts] and William Purlee of Wymondham [Leics], to Sir Robert de Swylyngton, knight, of the manor of Epurston, Nottinghamshire, with the advowson of the church of Epurston, and all lands, holdings, rents, services and reversions in Epurston had by the gift of Sir Robert Tybetot, to be held of the capital lord of the fee in return for the performance of services and customs, at an annual rent for 3 years of a rose, then of £20 for the 27 following years, and after then for a rent of £100, but also exonerating Sir Robert from the annual payment of 60s 8d to William Baker, park-keeper of the park of Epurston for the term of his life.
