DescriptionDeed of indenture of agreement between Walter, Bishop of Karl' [Carlisle], and Joan who was the wife of Wymer de Thornington, whereby the bishop concedes to her a third-part of the manor of Elreton given to her in dowry by Wymer, and she rents the other two third-parts of the manor paying him 50 marks annually until the heir of William de Picheford is of age, with provision for distraint on non-payment.
Witnesses: lord Richard parson of Roubyr', John the chaplain, Geoffrey de Leuekenor', Robert de Dacr', Walter de Ewelm', master, William Phico, Adam de Wyggehal', Thomas de Thorenton, Robert de Ryppele and others.
