DescriptionIndenture of agreement between George Chowne of Fairlawn, Kent, esquire, and Christopher Puckeringe, gentleman, citizen and haberdasher of London, of the 1st part, John Puckeringe, sergeant at law and Jane his wife, of the 2nd part, Thomas Mildmaye, esquire, son and heir apparent of Sir Thomas Mildmaye of Moulsham, Essex, knight, and Elizabeth Puckeringe, daughter of the said John Puckeringe, of the 3rd part, and James Moryce, Attorney of the Court of Wards, and Francis Cradocke of Middle Temple, London, esquire, of the 4th part, for the conveyance of the manor of Moulsford, and several messuages and lands in Moulsford, Cholsey and Shotley, Berkshire, with regard to the forthcoming marriage of Thomas Mildmaye and Elizabeth Puckeringe, with provision for the payment of several payments to Thomas and Elizabeth (graded from £50 on 10 May 1592 up to £300 annually from 1595 onwards, further described).
