DescriptionIndenture of assignment of lease by Thomas Yardley of the borough of Warwick, butcher, to John Freeman of the Priory in or near Warwick, gent, of a messuage in High Street in Warwick (beween the land of Thomas Shaxpeare on the east, land in the tenure of Robert Wattes on the west, the High Street on the south, and the land of Sir Thomas Puckering in the tenure of Ralph Sharley on the north), a barn with two bays in Britten Lane and an adjoining garden, all in the tenure of Thomas Yardley, to be held from the next feast of the Annunciation [25 Mar] for a term of 18 years, at the annual rent of a pepper corn, in consideration of £20, with a recital of the original lease dated 2 Feb 8 Chas [1633] by Sir Thomas Puckering to Thomas Yardley of the premises for a term of 21 years at the annual rent of £3 6s 8d.
