DescriptionDraft indenture of lease from [Dame] Jane Bowyer of the Priory in or near Warwick, widow, and Henry Wise [of Brompton Park], Middlesex, esquire, to Job Price of the borough of Warwick, gentleman, of [the east part of the Great New House] at the upper end of a street called Saltisford in the borough of Warwick, containing 4 ground rooms, and [all other rooms,] chambers and cellars above and below them, with the proportionate part of backbuildings, yard and gardens, with rights of common, all lately in the tenure of Moses Hodges, doctor of divinity, to be held from 29 September next for a term of 21 years, at the annual rent of £16.
14 July 10 Geo 172[4], with 20 June crossed out.
A substantial strip of the right hand side has been cut away, and several crossings out have been made to the text. The deed was not executed, with no signatures or seals.
Endorsed with date, in later hand, wrongly given as 14 July 1720.
