DescriptionIndenture of surrender of lease by Frances Samwell of Moreton Morrell, spinster, to Henry Wise, late of Brompton Park, Middlesex, then of the Priory in or near the borough of Warwick, esquire, of the manor house and site of the manor of Moreton Morrell, with brewhouse, stables, garden, etc (4 acres), the new-built end of a barn late in the occupation of Henry Clarke, two parcels of meadow called the Little Meadow and the Slingate Meadow in the common fields (5 acres), the arable part of the Chantry Ground (9 acres), a cottage formerly the Millhouse, with a close of ground in the common fields late in the occupation of William Smith, the pasture part of the Water Mill Ground (14 acres), the close of meadow called Ash Close (2 and a half acres), and the Moat Meadow (3 acres 1 rood), in consideration of £250 10s, reciting lease dated 9 Dec 1719 by Wise to Samwell.
