Description | Counterpart indenture of lease by Henry Wise the younger of Hampton Court, Middlesex, esquire, to William Watts of Moreton Morrell, yeoman, of a messuage called the Warren Farm House and several closes of arable, pasture and meadow called the Warren Farm in Moreton alias Moreton Morrell, the individual closes being called Home Close, the Rick Yard, Oak Tree Furlong, Three Gate Field, Hellhole Piece, Lime Kiln Ground, Hellhole Little Meadow, Foxhole Piece, Great Meadow, Great Foxhole Piece, Little Ploughed Ground and Nether Foxhole Piece, containing 260 acres, then in the tenure of William Watts (reserving all the tops of trees, bushes etc, and the digging of stone and making into lime), to be held from 25 March last for a term of 21 years, at the annual rent of £110, with an additional rents of £3 for each acre of land over 120 in tillage, £5 for each acre of meadow brought into tillage, £5 for each acre sown with rape, flax, hemp or woad, 40 shillings for every acre of arable sown with corn or grain in the last 5 years of the term, and 40 shillings for every acre neglected or sown with grass seeds in the last 4 years of the term.
