DescriptionIndenture of lease by Sir Thomas Puckering of the Priory in or near Warwick, knight and baronet, to Ralph Ellys the elder of Butlers Marston, yeoman, of two cottages and several parcels of land known as Castle Hills, Park P'ece, Under Pythornes and Stocks Meadow, containing 80 acres in Kington, late in the tenure of William Cleeve (excepting all trees, timber, etc), to be held from the last feast of St Michael (29 Sep) for a term of 10 years, at the annual rent of £40, with 40 shillings for every acre ploughed, tilled or sown, with covenant by Ralph to divide the premises into three parcels of land before 1 March next, scour and clean the brook running through the premises, and set up banks, hedges, fences and ditches, the cost of which is to be paid for by Sir Thomas on production of a true note of charges drawn up by Ralph.
