Description | Letters Patent of King Henry VIII, at the advice of Sir John Daunce and John Hales, granting Thomas Robyns a lease of 25 salt water vats, 3 salt-houses called seals and 3 cribs [racks] in the town of Droitwich, Worcestershire, part of the land having been once in Warwickshire [sic], with as much from a wood called Owood as in needed for the vats, to be held from the feast of St Michael next [29 Sep] for a term of 21 years at the initial rent of £13 18s 4d, rising annually by 20d, to be paid to the Bailiff of Wiche and Salewarpe [Salwarpe], Receiver or Treasurer of the Chamber.
