DescriptionIndenture of lease by Henry Wise of Hampton Court, Middlesex, esquire, to Thomas Emes of the parish of St George Hanover Square, Middlesex, gardener, of a newly built messuage, with brewhouse and stables, parcel of garden ground late in the ocupation of George Page and then of Thomas Emes, with carthouse or shed on it, containing 5 acres in or near the Willow Walk near Tuthill [Tothill] Fields, Westminster, Middlesex, to be held from the feast of St Michael last past [29 Sep] for a term of 21 years at the annual rent of £40, with covenant by Nicholas Page to cut down 20 elm and willow trees within 14 years and plant 120 large willow trees before the end of the term and to keep in good repair and at the end of the terms to surrender the fabric, fittings and fixtures, including schedule, with plan of premises drawn in left hand margin.
