DescriptionIndenture of confirmation of leases by Tomlinson Busby of the city of London, soapmaker, one of the grandchildren of Humfry Tomlinson late of the parish of St Dunstan, West London, milliner, deceased, of the 1st part, and William Busby of Loughborough, Leicestershire, gent, brother of Thomas and another grandchild of Humfry, of the 2nd part, to George London and Henry Wise, both of the city of London, gentlemen, of the 3rd part, of several pieces of copyhold ground in the manor of Knightsbridge containing 11 acres, being part of the Squabbs and Middle Gore, Birding Bush Field and the Clover Field, and several pieces of land in the manor of Knightsbridge with Westburn Green, containing 11 acres, being part of the Squabbs and Middle Gore, lying between Knightsbridge and Kensington in the parish of St Margarets, Westminster, Middlesex, confirming the two leases made for terms of 31 years at the total annual rent of £45, reciting other leases of 26 May 1684, the will of Humfry Tomlison dated 23 June 1864 and an assignment to London and Wise dated 20 July 1690.
