DescriptionIndenture of lease between Queen Elizabeth (at the advice of the Court of Wards and Liveries) and Giles Floode, esquire, of several lands, tenements and hereditaments in Whitchurch alias Little Stanmer and the parishes of St Botolph without Aldgate, St Katherine near the Tower, St Andrew near Baynards Castle and St "Benedict Finch" [St Benet Fink] in Middlesex and the city of London [details of individual properties and tenancies further named], to be held after the death of Sir Henry Nevill, if he dies during the minority of the Queen's ward, Hugh Losse, son of Robert Losse, esquire, deceased, at the annual rent of £14 8s, over and above the 77s 2d rent payable back to the Queen, in consideration of £23 6s 8d to be paid on the next feast of St Michael [29 Sep] after the death of Sir Henry Nevill to the Receiver General.

Attached in the bottom right hand corner are two bonds in £40 from Giles Floode of Lewisham, Kent, John Lyons of Warwick, gent, and Roger Beswicke of the parish of St John Zaccharias, London, gent, to Hugh Losse, the Queen's ward, for the covenants and performance of the lease.
