DescriptionIndenture of lease by John Puckering, sergeant at law, to Richard Samburne of Moulsford, Berkshire, gent, of the site of the manor of Moulsford, Berkshire, with all houses, buildings, orchards, gardens, lands, etc, (excepting allw woods, underwoods, free warren, fishing, etc) late in the occupation of John Wilmotte, to be held from the feast of St Michael last past [29 Sep] for a term of 10 years, at the annual rents, in the 1st year, of six score quarters of best malt at the best rate on the open market in Reading or on two market days either side of 24 June next, then for the remainder of the term six score quarters of good sweet winnowed and merchantable malt of the best sort, together with a good boar every year, with attached schedule of valuation of stock delivered to Samburne and to be re-possessed at the appropriate value at reversion .
