[Incident refers to the attack by valet Joseph Sellis on the Duke of Cumberland, who received heavy blows to the head. Sellis later committed suicide in his own appartment, by cutting his throat. Although cleared by an inquest jury, the reputation of the Duke was tainted, with persistent rumours of his having caused Sellis to be murdered. ]
