Enquiring on how to settle their account: her understanding that the piece of furniture has not been moved from [?] Fagg's house, but the repair of it has been settled with him: her proposal that the secretary [writing desk] be deducted from the bill and that he lets her know the exact sum due to him, to be paid on receipt of his reply: hopes of Lady Howe being well and his escaping the returns of any suffering to his face.
