TitleLetter from Princess Sophia to Sir Jonathan Wathen Waller
Date22 July 1830
DescriptionWritten from KP [?Kensington Palace].
Writing to let him know how matters have gone before he comes on Saturday: her wish to comment further on the subject of his letter: her humble opinion of the letter being admirable but necessary, and that it ought to be laid before the person intended [the King], but not without further thought: her hearing that he is excessively busy and she [the Queen] is very tired: the displeasure of her sister against Sir T Sydney and Kennedy Erskine [?husbands of William IV's illegitimate daughters], with her own reponse on the family not having received the education or advancement expected: her fear of his [the King] rushing into matters too excitedly.
22 July, no year given, but paper watermarked 1827 and edged with black borders, almost referring to the letter he wrote to the King about his health [see CR 341/25-27].
Sheet, with 2 pages of text, handwriting difficult to decipher.
