Thanks him for his writing received that morning: proof of the movement of the eye being sound, though perhaps weakened, with the child able to decipher the hand on Mr F's watch on, giving them hope of his recovering his vision, with his general health prospering from the sea and mild climate of Hastings: his being unable to express what effect the letters received that morning had on him and the Duchess: hope that George has been able to profit from the mild climate where he is.
