TitleLetter from Ernest, King of Hanover, to Sir Jonathan Wathen Waller
Date8 Jul 1838
DescriptionWritten from Hanover, addressed to Phippy.
Enclosure of letter, not knowing where to direct it, with no word as to whether Mrs B [?Bankes]. is going to let her place at Sheen and to go to Dorset or not: Richmond and Kew being most delightful, with his wish to be there now, for as a country seat [Kew] it is now habitable:enquiry as to whether he has parted with any of his horses: hearing from letters the hopes Waller and Alexander still have hope for Sophia's recovery: prudent decision of the Dowager Queen not to go to Malta for the winter, supposing Lord Howe will accompany her, it being awkward for him having so many young children: his having much state business to do and surprised at his health supporting what he has to go through.
Sheet, with 2 pages of text.
