TitleLetter from Prince George of Cumberland, to Sir Joanthan Wathen Waller
Date23 Feb 1835
DescriptionWritten from Berlin.
Thank for his letter, offering congratulations on the marriage of his son Ernest: his astonishment at Dr Wilmot's conduct during the election at Hastings which made Sir Jonathan break off all connection with him, painful given his friendship since childhood with Mrs Wilmot and the intimacy of the families: his delight at hearing good reports of Wathen and his mother's astonishment on hearing the Queen of Bavaria not recommending him to King Otho, probably due to jealousies in the diplomatic corps.
Sheet, with 4 pages of text, black-edged.
