Mail in, with expectation of a letter soon: weather warmer, works getting on a deal and more firing than before, being turned ot twice last night: races tomorrow in 3rd Division camp, with himself, as a lightweight, riding one of the officer's horses, with a good chance of winning: receipt of comforters (not known if wanted with warmer weather, although climate always changeable), nuts and concentrated luncheons from Aunt Anna: death of the Emperor of Russia being true: ground covered with crocuses, one of which he will get from the battlefield of Inkerman, also growing in tents.
