Down there having had a slight touch of fever, but feeling jolly, able to go Pera on the steamer every day: apologies for quality of writing, having been so weak at Balaklava, barely able to walk length of the quarterdeck but now walking well with a stick: hand not firm, but able to sketch better than write: unexpected pleasure of taking the sacrament there: going to spend a day ot two with Lieutenant Thomas Browne, at present in Therapia, sent down with a nasty flesh wound: beautiful fruit available there: letters stil to be directed to the Light Division: having seem Miss Wear at Balaklava, as well as Gibson: report of the Bracebridges having gone home.
