DescriptionWritten from the Monastery of St George.
Having seen yesterday the paymaster of George's regiment, who rode there to tell her not to be easy on his account, after accounts of his not being well: having heard from his doctor of his getting on well, her reluctance to go and see him in case it was an intrusion and annoyance to him: her assurance she would have gone if there had been alarming symptoms: the paymaster telling her that he lived in the same hut as George and took an interest in him and that George was a favourite of the regiment.
