DescriptionSuccess of the Yea report: his having begged Wood to draw Lord Hardinge's attention to it, and Lord Macdonald having asked for a copy of it: request for another copy, having not had the copy sent to the Palace back: the case having been mentioned by Mr Lowe of the Times: there having been a terrible row in Belgravia, with windows smashed and fires started: his cousin George Seymour, aged 70, trying to stop the smashing of windows, having his head cut by stones and hand cut by a knife and being carried to bed with his ill treatment, but his having broken 2 or 3 heads in gallant style: the affray carried out by boys but instigated by foreigners. PS: Lord Hardinge to the Crimea, Lord Gough in his place and the Duke of Cambridge to command in Ireland.
