Thanks for his kind letter: her being unable to find HA Waller's Family Record, published in 1898 according to the DNB, presuming only the family possesses a copy: the DNB also the only publication to state that Sir Richard Waller paid for the re-building of Groombridge with payments he accepted from the Duke [of Orleans]: her being almost certain the document to confirm her statements being a manuscript written by Phillipot Rouge-Dragon, who made a visitation of Kent in 1619: hope of being able to get at it without payment for him: AF Pollard being author of the article in the DNB, almost certainly an authentic one.
