Description | Lease and release between John Heydon of Banbury, Oxon, banker; Richard Holloway of Arlscote, gentleman [trustees]; Thomas Payne, late of Farmborough, yeoman; William Holbech of Farmborough, esquire; and the Revd Charles Holbech of Farmborough, clerk. Recites a lease and release of 8-9 October 1811 in which Thomas Payne conveys his estate to John Heydon and Richard Holloway [trustees] so that they can sell it to pay his debts [see CR0457/31/9/1-2]. John Heydon and Richard Holloway agreed to sell the properties to William Holbech for £240, of which £107 12s was paid to Thomas Stuchfield to pay the mortgage owed to him by an indenture of 29 October 1810 [see CR0457/31/8]. The assignment of the mortgage was confirmed by an indenture of 7 April 1812 [see CR0457/31/12] and a term of 500 years was assigned to the Revd Charles Holbech. John Heydon and Richard Holloway convey to William Holbech a messuage with a garden in Farmborough, previously occupied by George Goodman and now by Thomas Payne, which formerly consisted of three cottages, then was converted into two tenements which have lately been occupied as one. These were then conveyed to Charles Holbech [trustee] for the remainder of the term of 500 years. Consideration: £132 8s
