DescriptionBetween John Samon of Balscote, Oxon, yeoman; Hugh Birch of Moston, pa. Manchester, Lancs, husbandman; and Ursula Birch his wife, eldest daughter of John Samon. John Samon stood seised of of a messuage and one close belonging to it in Farnborough, previously occupied by William Burbury and currently occupied by John Tustian; and two closes of land in the parish of Farnborough, occupied by John Tustian, and in part adjoining the lands of Jerome Raleigh, gent, on the west side, lands belonging to Robert Brock on the north side, occupied by John Samon, and lands belonging to Edward Atkins of the south and east sides; a quarter of a yardland of arable, meadow and pasture in the parish of Claydon, Oxon, previously occupied by Edmund Hatton, deceased, and now occupied by John Tustian. John Samon granted the properties to Hugh and Ursula Birch, to provide for the future livelihood of his daughter, of which they would stand seised after his decease.
