Description | The Decree is addressed to William Burnaby of Warwick, esq., (?defendant) and the plaintiffs in the case are Francis Burdenn (rector), Edmund Bromwich, gent., Thomas Langley, Richard Bishopp, Nathaniel Paggett, William Smith, John Bishopp and Edward Jones (p.p. the freeholders, landholders, cottagers and tenants of the town of Rugby). It decrees that the 80 acs. of land in the common fields of Rugby, which the case is about, be granted by Articles to the defendant for 3 years for ploughing and sowing, then possession to be delivered by the defendants to the plaintiffs and let for ploughing and sowing for a year, then to be let for ploughing and digging to such persons as give the "best rate" for the same, the residue of the rents after the satisfaction of John Tilghman's account/expenses, pursuant to Agreement, to be disbursed as the major part of the freeholders etc. of the town agree and appoint; and decrees that the defendant and his heirs be barred from ever setting up or planting any warren within the parish.
