Description | Thomas Englefield, Serjant-at-Law, Thomas Hampden, esq., George Throgmorton, Richard Throgmorton, William Daunsey, Edward Warner, Robert Warner and Robert Smyth, in the Court of our justices of the peace at Westminster, impleaded William Boughton, of the manor of Littillalford, with appurtenances, and 60 messuages, 1,000 acres of land, 200 acres of meadow, 1,000 acres of pasture and a 40s. rental, in Littillalford, Walcote, Lemyngton, Sawbrig', Brynklow, Cathroppe, Bretford, Long Lalford, Little Harburgh, Rugby, Chirch Lalford, Bilton, Birtbury and Sowe, by our writ of entry, the tenor of which is as follows: In our pleas at Westminster, in the Court of Robert Brudenell and his fellow justices of the King's Bench, in the term of St. Hilary, 14 Henry VIII, on the 137th Roll for Warwickshire, the aforesaid pleaded William Boughton of the manor of Littil Lalford etc., as their right and inheritance, which he had obtained after the disseisin made unlawfully by Hugh Hunt against Thomas Englefield and the others. William by Andrew Barnard, his attorney, defended his right and vouched to warranty Thomas Fysshe who was present there. Englefield and the others imparled with Fysshe, and the latter made default, whereby judgment went to the former, at whose request this exemplification was made. |
