DescriptionThe messuage is situated between that of Richard Ansty on the north, and the tenement of John Pywale on the south: to hold the aforesaid messuage and ½ virgate of land with appurtenances to Giles, his heirs and assigns forever, of the chief lord of the fee, for the customary services, rendering yearly to Elizabeth and her assigns, until the end of her life 10s. at the feast of St. Michael the Archangel and the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, by equal portions: if the payment is in arrears, she has the right to distrain the said messuage and virgate, in order to obtain redress. Witnesses: Richard Ansty of Long Lalford, William Burton of the same, Henry Smyth of the same, and others. Given at Long Lalford, 1st October, 11 Henry VI.
